Aluminum possesses natural EMI/RFI shielding properties which makes our cases a natural choice when dealing with protecting electronics in
areas such as deployed electronic warfare and field communication systems.
Incorporated into a welded
aluminum
case, or EMI shielded cases generally include an inner chassis mounted on
elastomer inserts to protect the contents from shock and vibration. Custom
stainless steel threaded posts are installed into an aluminum chassis that is
treated to protect galvanic action between the two metals. A custom EMI / RFI
shielded gasket mounted within the unit completes the process.
Outer hardware for these cases are made
from 300 Series stainless steel to resist corrosion in marine and humid
environments. Latches and handles on the case are protected with a series of
installed ribs, welded to the case sides preventing them from being ripped or
sheared off while in transit.
If you have a need to deploy mission-critical electronics into the field and have them shielded from
either EMI and/or RFI signals, please contact us and we will be able to create a case to serve your needs.
